I had my annual physical a week and a half ago, and the doctor drew a few vials of blood for the regular battery of tests.

He called me this morning and told me he would like to see me tomorrow to discuss the results. “Not an emergency”, but he wanted to see me sooner than later.

And now I’m scared. Of what, I have no idea; if it was life-threatening, I’m sure he wouldn’t wait … but can it possibly be good news? I don’t think so.
