I think I've bought about five cameras in that time. I purposely never get exactly what I really want, since what I really want would be a bigger waste than what I actually get without having the knowledge you're referring to. Of course, I've never quite found the ideal course. One course may be called "get to know your digital camera" and goes over what megapixels are. One will assume you know everything you cite in your list and focus on night landscapes or something else very specific. One will castigate you for even mentioning that your only camera is digital. (Ok, I think it's harder to find that class now). I'm just making excuses... Good advice! I’ve been meaning to take a photography class for about ten years.
