Opus 27 Number 2

By Mike

The “Moonlight” Sonata.

Beethoven captured my mood perfectly with this piece.  The triplets in their haunting, rhythmic C# major key are the rise and fall of my moods lately.  The occasional accidental in the triplets is the disruption I can’t seem to get away from.  And that melody - so haunting, and so ever-present.   Like a few of the themes in my life right now.

If this seems cryptic - well, it is.  I’m not going to talk a lot about what’s going on right now, other than to say that it’s emotionally draining.  My regular readers can put “2 and 2″ together easily enough.  If you’re new here, take a gander through my archives (maybe around the September / October 2007 timeframe) and you’ll catch on.
