There’s a few things I forgot about after 6 years in the South.
One of them is cold. I’m not talking about the pleasant “my-it’s-refreshingly-cool-out” kind of cold. I’m talking about the “holy-shit-I’m-going-to-freeze-my-nuts-off” cold.
Sydney had to go for a 5:00 pee, so I put her leash on, threw a housecoat over my pajamas and took her out into the driveway to do her business. And gosh, if it wasn’t absolutely frigid out. The temperature is probably around the -8 Celsius mark (that’s roughly 17 degrees Fahrenheit for the ‘yanks), so it’s not even really cold yet, but it sure felt that way to my prissy Southern sensibilities.

I appreciate the conversion to Fahrenheit so I was spared from having to Google.
Those are the kind of temps we get here in ID although we have been in the upper 20’s lately. Sweatshirt weather.

I, like you, Just arrived in southern Ontario to enjoy a holiday with family. The shift is a bit harder for me, because I now live in West Palm Beach. To say that I am uncomfortable is an understatement. All I can say is that I hope I can make it until Friday when I fly back home.
Enjoy your winter treat and have a good holiday, and try to stay warm.

Sheesh that IS cold. I would have frozen straight into a popsicle in that kind of weather. It was in the lower seventies here today. I would have liked for it to be a little cooler, but 17 degrees is ridiculously cold.
