So I’ve decided to do something new this year - and you’re invited! Even if you’re a lurker or a first-time visitor, you’re more than welcome to participate!
(my regular daily posts will appear below …)
It’s normal to send Christmas cards to family members you only see at weddings and funerals. You know - the ones you have to work really hard at to remember their kids’ names. Not that you care in the least, mind you - you’re just being polite.
I will still do that round of cards this year … but I’d also like to reach out to my blogging friends and show a little holiday love. I’m going to design some of my own cards and mail them out to anyone who takes a minute to leave me a comment. And all I’m asking for is a card in return.
Here’s how it will work. You leave a comment on this post, and make sure you have a valid email address. I will email you with my mailing address, and you will email me back with yours. That way, we don’t have to share our Earthly addresses with the great unwashed masses.
Then, you will write me a card and profess your undying love for my blog. Or, you can share a photo of somewhere interesting near where you live. Or, you can just say hi.
Sound easy? That’s because it is. And you’ll come out of this with a one-of-a-kind absent.canadian greeting card that will be suitable for framing. And I will come out of it with a lot of holiday love in my mailbox. And the local mailman will keep his job for another year, and the world will be a better place.

LOVE the idea.
Not to worry - although I’m not yet sure as to what, I’ll send you something uniquely Canadian. Cheers!

gsufan@gmail.com. But you knew that already.
Be watching the mailbox for a card AND a little rabbit. It can’t get much better than that! Ha!

You are already on my Christmas Card list so I guess this will be an easy task for me. So you are going to make these cards yourself? Hmmm…my interest is peeked now. I am making mine as well.

Hey, wait a minute. I only just got around to re-blogrolling you the other day after all my running around the planet, then I head over to BE to check out the blog battles and here you are with what looks like a completely different blog! I’m so confused
Unfortunately I’m not in one place long enough to get a Christmas card this year. I’ll be in Luang Prabang for a whole 2 weeks if you think you can send it to Laos that fast!

This is very Martha Stewart of you, but I’m in. I believe you already have my email address?

I always have extra Christmas cards left over after buying a box every year, so it would be nice to actually use more of them. Although, having to take out a loan to afford postage stamps gets aggravating.
