Thanks for all the giving
With great respect to the Berkeley Plantation and Plymouth, the first Thanksgiving was actually celebrated in Canada - in 1578, to be precise, by a man named Martin Frobisher. It’s true that the concept of a feast to celebrate the season’s harvest predates Mr. Frobisher by several thousand years … but what Mr. Frobisher was actually celebrating was his survival of the long journey from the Old World to the New World. Based on the bits that we know about traveling across the ocean in the 16th century, this seems like plenty of reason to celebrate.
So - with Mr. Frobisher, the Berkeley Plantation, Plymouth (Massachusetts), good harvests, and my favorite saying - “if you ate today, thank a farmer” - in mind, have a safe and plentiful Thanksgiving.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
