It’s 6:25 in the morning, and every Southerner should be losing their fucking mind right now.
And if you think there’s a hope in hell that I’m driving to work in this stuff, you’re out of it too. The top speed that people will be driving will be approximately 10 mph. The last time it did this, we measured our drive times in hours, not minutes.
I wonder if news reporters will be interviewing people in the parking lots of grocery store, after they come out with loaves of bread and cartons of milk? Generators will fly off the shelves for the next two weeks …
UPDATE (7:20 AM): It’s still snowing. And it’s actually coming down in enough quantity to accumulate on the ground. Boy oh boy will the streets of Raleigh be a bumper-car ride today!
No fair…. Raliegh, Dallas, Alabama, shit, everyone is getting more snow than we are in Chicago. Send some back to us, please?
heh.
Try being in Arizona when it “snows”.
There were people crashing into each other all morning just a stones throw from my front door…and the only snow around was on the sidewalks.
I think snow makes the part of the brain that helps with driving shut down. I really, really, do.
